  1. will this diet help someone who is in the last stages of cirrhosis. she is having a TIPS surgery in about two weeks then she will be on the list for a Liver Transplant . will this diet help her after she receives a liver?

    1. YES! This diet is one that anybody can eat, but it’s really good for people with liver disease. I’m excited to hear how her listing goes. It’s a lot of work to get listed and stay on the list. Her doctor will be proud to hear that she’s trying to eat well.
So many good tips in this book. It’s the story I wrote about life from liver failure to transplant. Stay in touch and let me know how I can help.

Hi, my mother has been diagnosed with life ending liver cirrhosis due to chemotherapy that she received for her lymphoma. She is not eligible for a liver transplant due to her age and because of her lymphoma. The lymphoma has digresses, so I am trying to help her detox her unresponsive liver.

Do you have recipes that can help me try and manage her disease and help stimulate her liver?

    1. Jacqueline,

I’m glad to hear you are trying to help your mom. I’ve got other friends who got liver disease from other medications or chemotherapy. Some have kept up with me and are doing really well not. I hope the same is true of your mom.

Sorry to be late, but I’ve been working a lot. I’m back on the site more now. Please let me know how I can help. Basically healthy protein and lower sodium are helpful. Veggies and broth with low sodium are great for starters.
